Amazanga es un santuario natural en la selva tropical de Ecuador en la provincia de Napo.
It is a place of connection with and learning from nature. We have dedicated our hearts to the conservation of traditional knowledges, to the native communities (kichwa) and to the tropical jungle.
The principal purpose of Amazanga (which in kichwa mythology is the jaguar spirit who protects the jungle) is to restore balance and harmony within ourselves as human beings and within the relations to everything surrounding us.
We have built this place to preserve, recover and practice the ancient knowlege of wise women and men of the Amazon. This goes hand in hand with supporting native communities and protecting the ecosystem.
We have adapted the ancestral wisdom, which has brought human beings to live in harmony, in order to find this balance in our daily lives.
We develop theoretical-practical tools which are applicable in all processes of our everyday life, be it within our family, our business, our relationships, friendships, or with ourselves.
"We preserve ancestral wisdom and knowledge"
Living a practiced spirituality, including the medicinal use of plants and natural elements, we complement this knowledge with other methods of holistic natural treatments and therapies.
In this way, physical, mental and emotional health manifests itself in one single alignment, endowing us with a genueine and authentic quality of life.
Through processes of waking up to consciousness, employing ancestral methods, we have been able to develop a series of sustainable projects. These work hand in hand with local communities, creating a beneficial impact on Society, Education, the Ecosystem and the Spiritual.
If you feel the urgency of creating consciousness and evolutionary models for our time, you are welcome to become part of our conscious projects!
We are far from all kinds of contamination, human settlement, mines or oil extraction. We are working to keep it this way, protecting primary and secundary rain forest, pure and crystaline waters, autochtonous flora and faune as well as the tranquility and sounds of nature.
A very profound vision is the fundament of all cabins, which are designed and constructed based on sacred geometry of our original people.
Everything is thought of and dreamed in a way that allows us to feel in unison and harmony with nature.
Our spaces show native aestethics combined with modern aspects and technology. The facilities thus embody an integration with nature.
In accordance with our philosophy, we at Amazanga take care of the genuine quality of our nutrition. We love to serve a delicious fusion of indigenous and international cuisine.
Our kitchen offers non-vegetarian and vegetarian food, with vegan, gluten and lactose free options. The team is well-prepared to cater to special diets for people with health problems. We cultivate our own biological gardens and have free range chicken and ducks.
Our vision is that through nutrition one can facilitate the process of healing.
We rescue ancestral therapeutic knowledges and practical wisdom of the use of medicinal plants in order to manifest physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health in one single alignment.
Within this practice we occupy medicinal saunas, baths with plants, masks of clay and healing earth, baths with flowers, therapies and rituals of millenial wisdom.
We practice traditional Temazcall.

Paths through the Jungle
We have constructed beautiful paths, guiding to wild gardens and to the waterfalls of Amazanga.
You can take a look at spaces of reforestation, which is part our commitment with life on earth.
Loving the earth is taking care of the forests and procting them. This is an opportunity to express our love and commitment with the earth and taking responsibility for our planet.
Thank you for supporting us.
Preparation of Ancestral Medicines
Our medicines are derived from the knowledge of our ancestors. We are entrusted with this knowledge through a long path, more than 20 years, of preparation. We are co-working with the wisdoms of the elders of the community.
Commitment with the earth
Our hands are taking actions.
Protecting the tropical jungle also means preserving the splendour of life for present and future generations.
Our commitment today is more important than ever.
With the disappearing of numerous species, knowledge about medicinal plants and its practical application is lost forever. The cultural identity of the population is dissipating.
